SO, STAR TREK
Star Trek at the IMAX was awesome. Absolutely awesome. It was worth every penny I ponied up to get there.

That's pretty much all I have to say about the movie, keepin' it spoiler-free. I went in with very few expectations, I wasn't a fan of the original series - I was a fan of ST:TNG - so the prospect of a reboot didn't horrify me.

I like to think that this movie will satisfy even hardcore fans, but it's impossible to please everyone. [info]backinblack and I enjoyed the hell out of it, and I think [info]kuwamiko enjoyed it in spite of herself.

The direction was great, the chemistry with the cast was excellent with one exception of which I'll not speak (but [info]backinblack and [info]kuwamiko shared my horror) and we fully expect this to launch a new franchise of Star Trek movies.

Also, the pre-movie trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was FUCKING FANTASTIC but NEEDS MOAR JOSH.

Now I gotta get some writing done, I GOTTA.
