SO, STAR TREK
Star Trek at the IMAX was awesome. Absolutely awesome. It was worth every penny I ponied up to get there.

That's pretty much all I have to say about the movie, keepin' it spoiler-free. I went in with very few expectations, I wasn't a fan of the original series - I was a fan of ST:TNG - so the prospect of a reboot didn't horrify me.

I like to think that this movie will satisfy even hardcore fans, but it's impossible to please everyone. backinblack and I enjoyed the hell out of it, and I think kuwamiko enjoyed it in spite of herself.

The direction was great, the chemistry with the cast was excellent with one exception of which I'll not speak (but backinblack and kuwamiko shared my horror) and we fully expect this to launch a new franchise of Star Trek movies.

Also, the pre-movie trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was FUCKING FANTASTIC but NEEDS MOAR JOSH.

Now I gotta get some writing done, I GOTTA.
