Busy busy busy [20 May 2009|06:09pm]
[ mood | accomplished ]

We got to sleep in for an hour today, because I drove [info] - personalkuwamiko in for a dental appointment. And I forgot to turn the alarm off! Jeeves was murmuring something delightful about Ian McKellan in my ear, I don't remember the details.

I now have three parts of "We Go Together" in the can and out for beta - 6,404 words. I think my poor beta-reader will be ready to kill me if I keep on at this rate. And of course, I'm already into the sixth part and loving it.

Got home, cleaned off the counter a bit and took care of my bills, and now I'm watching House, heating up soup, and putting off doing budget review and adjustments because I'm SCARED OF HOW MUCH WE'VE SPENT THIS MONTH.

While grocery-shopping on Sunday, apparently I had a psychic moment; I grabbed an extra can of soup. Today I got home, leftovers were on the menu, I rummaged through the fridge and deemed leftovers inedible and worthy only of the trash, cast about for something to eat while feeling sorry for myself, then remembered I have soup.

Okay, now I'm really putting off the budget review. Also the litter boxes. I have no love for the litter boxes.

I do love my flash drive! Mmmm, flash drive.

state of the tay, con't [18 May 2009|11:32am]
[ mood | sick ]

Throat: graduated to hacking chest coughs that are mostly unproductive. Stayed up coughing all night. Woke up after three hours of sleep, said, "hell no," slept on the couch (about 45 min) until there were people at work, called in, and went back to bed for four more hours of sleep. Still coughing. On top of the cough I'm bleeding so things are. Um. NOT PLEASANT.

I will DEFINITELY not forget the cough drops today when I stop by the store for vitamins and other sundries. Apparently, cough drops are now needed to a) live b) stop feeling stabbing pain in my right lung.

Words written yesterday: 1,486, part finished, sent off to beta.

Guitar games played yesterday: none

Yet again, staying home from work and too prone to properly enjoy it. Well, next week is a proper three-day weekend and I plan on being well by then.

Throat soreness: Even worse; graduated to hacking coughs yesterday. Should probably pick up some cough drops when I'm grocery shopping, it's bloody painful.

Yesterday's word count for epic fic: 4.323, and first part sent off to beta. Second part almost done.

Guitar Hero and Rock Band 2: Heck, I don't even know. We played several sets on both yesterday. I've got some calluses that are coming along nicely. 9_9

We watched a couple of movies yesterday - The Fast and the Furious, and 2 Fast 2 Furious. Ahahahahaha. [info] - personalkuwamiko thinks that 2F2F is better. ♥ It certainly is more fun!

I joined Twitter as bounddreamer and learned yesterday that Tokio Hotel won Italy's Best TRL Artist of the year! Woo. After seeing Bill's acceptance speech I am convinced he's an elf. Possibly another picspam forthcoming, I've been collecting more.

The cat decided to wake me this morning by playing the heater grill like a harp. Again. After standing on my boob. Again. And now I know I should eat something but augh, nothing sounds good.

Should go make the grocery list so I don't feel rushed later...

Throat: still sore, but that's basically the only symptom now.

Guitar Hero: Two sets played yesterday, woo! We flunked out on Schism, it has a crazy bass line that made Gin weep tears of blood from her fingers.

Writing: Eh, an incomplete paragraph and some tweaks. Expecting to do loads better today.

Last night after Guitar Hero we basically dicked around all evening, put on Cloverfield then Underworld. May or may not have admitted I like Zach Quinto for reasons above and beyond his sheer delightful faggotry.

Woke up after some weird pregnancy dream and then the cats stood on my sore boobs and demanded I get up.

I have "Assassin" in my head, so... I think I'll go play it. After a few warm-up songs. STARBUCKS FOR BREAKFAST, I AM SO EXCITED, I WISH GIN WOULD WAKE UP LIEK NOW SO WE CAN ALL GO SOON.

Throat soreness: increased.

Today's word count for epic fic: 2,369. I ALMOST BROKE FIVE PAGES, GARAMOND SIZE 12.

Guitar Hero played: zero, damn it.

New ringtone: finally created. Jung und nicht mehr jugenfrei - now, if only people would FUCKING CALL ME so it would RING.

Besides just Red Cross, who is perpetually out for my tasty, tasty type A+ blood.

Okay, so.

Epic Kaulitzcest fic has been initiated. I have a title and several paragraphs now in addition to my thirty-five page outline. It's broken up into years, and I expect each year to be novella-sized.

So, my question to those of you who will be reading:

Shall I post epic youko-verse Kaulitzcest fic section by section, or novella by novella?

Because it's an original/fanfic hybrid, I'm planning to post to both filters. Hope that's cool with people. If you're not going to read it, it's easy enough to skip it anyhow.

I KNOW, I KNOW, NEEDS MORE TICKY. I don't think I can cross-post a poll even if I do have paid accounts on both DW and LJ.

Okay, so I'm out running errands right now - currently sitting through an oil change - but I HAVE FINISHED AFTER THE RISING. And I think I'm happy with it! We'll find out after I proof it when I get home. Either way, I am pretty sure I'll be moving on to thorough Kaulitzcestophilia posting the ending later tonight!

Ugh, after the rest of my chores. Gotta stop by Target for a pedometer and sundries, and hafta clean the littereboxes, do laundry, and make soup for tomorrow, but I am EXCITED TO BE DONE. RILLY.

And not just for the impending youko twincest adventures, I swear (the outline for which may or may not be up to thirty-five pages of outline).

I'd celebrate if I didn't feel so guilty for taking so damned long.

A. 1. Pepper
2. Me
3. Whether I am done with the computer
4. Whether Guitar Hero is on or not
5. Depends on how fast I can find the laser-pointer

If you answered anything but 1, you've never had a cat. And now I have Pepper-hair all over my face, sweater, and laptop.

PLUS COLUMN: I figured out an OTC drug combination that gets (mostly) rid of my debilitating, pernicious headaches.

MINUS COLUMN: It makes me feel like I'm FOOKIN' HIGH. Even worse, I think I need to add Advil to the mix because I need something for the accompanying neck-ache.

In conclusion, today is the ninth anniversary of my commitment to [info]kuwamiko. Honey, thanks for putting up with me for so long. ♥ To the rest of our lives.

"Wow, you recognize my spider-scream!" [10 May 2009|10:38am]
[ mood | amused ]

Things I accomplished yesterday:

- Sleeping in late
- Eating cream pan for breakfast
- "Cooking" lunch, and by cooking I mean ordering pizza
- Playing two hours of Guitar Hero on medium
- Putting on a series of movies while dicking around on the internet, reading Kaulitzcest, and expanding my outline from twenty-eight pages to *checks* thirty-two.
- Comment-bombing [info]backinblack again while she was sitting next to me. That's my favorite part.

Gin, b, what all did we watch again yesterday? Galaxy Quest, Dodgeball, Accepted, Live Free or Die Hard, then Alien Resurrection by my count. Huh. We had movies on from approximately two pm to two am, not counting time spent at the store being horrified at men walking around with their shirts open to expose their hairy paunches.

Considering it's already eleven I suppose I should rustle up some food. And when my phone is charged (I KNEW I should have plugged it in last night, but the cat was cute and wanted to be picked up) I'll call my mom and my step-mom. Then go, I dunno, be productive and make the grocery list.

Any bento ideas? I'm looking for fast, easy, low-fat and low-cal. Lately I've been doing salad and a main entree. Last week's ginger noodle soup was not spectacular. 101 Cookbooks let me down for the first time.

In conclusion, something I found during the comment bomb war:

Innocent Link!Bill is horrified by these shenanigans.

[ mood | enthralled ]

I think that Gin and I have a serious Guitar Hero problem.

We start it up with the intent to play a set or two. ...Frigging two hours later, fingers sore and wrists cramping, we decide we've had enough. Then I'm all surprised when I sit down to type and my fingers hurt. I think they're trying to develop callouses. *wince* They huuuuuuurt.

We played two hours last night and another two hours this morning. And hey, this is only our second weekend with the game and we're playing Medium!

Maybe I should switch to hand-writing for a bit, because my right hand isn't all fracked up.

Now we need to figure out what the heck we're having for lunch. What happens when you put three indecisive people in a room? YOU ALL GO HUNGRY.

SO, STAR TREK [09 May 2009|09:54am]
[ mood | hopeful ]

Star Trek at the IMAX was awesome. Absolutely awesome. It was worth every penny I ponied up to get there.

That's pretty much all I have to say about the movie, keepin' it spoiler-free. I went in with very few expectations, I wasn't a fan of the original series - I was a fan of ST:TNG - so the prospect of a reboot didn't horrify me.

I like to think that this movie will satisfy even hardcore fans, but it's impossible to please everyone. [info]backinblack and I enjoyed the hell out of it, and I think [info]kuwamiko enjoyed it in spite of herself.

The direction was great, the chemistry with the cast was excellent with one exception of which I'll not speak (but [info]backinblack and [info]kuwamiko shared my horror) and we fully expect this to launch a new franchise of Star Trek movies.

Also, the pre-movie trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was FUCKING FANTASTIC but NEEDS MOAR JOSH.

Now I gotta get some writing done, I GOTTA.

We're standing in line at the IMAX and Gin said I should update to let everyone know. =D. Uh, so, here we are. THERE ARE PEOPLE IN COSTUME. Next Gen costume FAIL, people.

This is Gin, and all I have to say is that Tay sucks and is geekier than all these Trekkies combined. AND MORE. TWIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNZZZ.

Tay again. Yeah. Twins forever. I wonder how much longer they're gonna make us wait. ...right about now I bet people are wishing I'd move this shit to Twitter.

Tay and KnM, on the way home from picking up cat food for the beebes at Target and a little something at Starbucks:

*iTunes plays Jung und nicht mehr jugendfrei*
tay: I bet, the way they roll their words in the back of their throat, that Bill is good at deep-throating.
KnM: I don't think he needs to be fluent in German for that.
tay: Oh you're right, I bet he has no gag reflex left anyway.
KnM: ...You're being really generous to Tom.
tay: Come on, it doesn't take that much to hit the back of the throat.
KnM: Yeah, okay.
tay: Besides, I don't think I'm giving them too much credit; Bill is six-two and Tom is five-eleven, they're not little guys. They're just skinny.
KnM: Point. How do identical twins grow up to be different heights, anyhow?
tay: I dunno, why does Bill have a mole on his chin and Tom a mole on his cheek? But they're still identical. I bet Tom just hit the coffee earlier in life. To make up for all those hours of nailing his brother at night. Bill slept shamelessly through French class.
KnM: *snickers*
tay: I should write this down. Hell, I'll blog it.

As of this week I got a little silver-colored washer for losing 25 pounds on Weight Watchers. Sweet. I put it on my 10%-loss keychain. Tomorrow I'm taking a half day and we are JUMPING on that 4:05 IMAX showing of Star Trek, baby.

Back to wringing my hands over the last two parts of After the Rising. I have got to finish. I've got to finish. I have twenty-four pages worth of outline - OUTLINE - for youkoverse Kaulitzcest and I am so ready to move on.

I have two codes, does anyone still need a Dreamwidth account? Drop me a comment with your e-mail if you do.

Ugh, fingers are definitely raw today. [info]backinblack and I played Guitar Hero for about... four and a half hours total yesterday, and it was our first time. Despite my fingertips being sooooo sore, I wanna jump right up and do it again. (It's World Tour; and yes, we unlocked Monsoon. At around one-fifteen am.)

Time to go do meal planning or something.

On my weekend thus far [02 May 2009|08:04pm]
[ mood | happy ]

My weekend thus far has been ROCKIN'.

Holy shit I finally bought Guitar Hero this afternoon and my fingers are still killing me from working the fret bar for three hours. AUGH. Maybe [info]backinblack and I should have taken a break much sooner, but it was so much fun. And now three fingers on my left hand are, like, numb. And the tips are raw. ...Ow.

I love the new month! We went to Outback Steakhouse last night, this morning we went to Starbucks for a few hours, we had sushi for lunch, and we picked up Guitar Hero on the way home YAY. ...Then I bought [info]kuwamiko and I paid Dreamwidth accounts because we really do need them. And now I can cross-post to all of my journals and I have two hundred icons.

Which I need, because Gin made me a bunch of Tokio Hotel icons. ♥

Now I have the terribly difficult task of deciding if I'm going to play tag-team Silent Hill or try to work on After the Rising so that I can move on to other projects (namely, a boatload of Tokio Hotel fanfic).
